I just got a 49-page letter from the Los Angeles County Treasurer/Tax Collector.  A client owns real estate in Los Angeles County.  Because my client’s property tax bill is more than $50,000 per year we must pay the bill by ACH.

Forty freaking nine pages to tell me how to pay a bill electronically.

Cost imposed on taxpayer to comply with the County’s insane rules > County’s savings through advanced processes.

Yes I counted the pages.  At least the eco-green bureaucrats did double-sided printing.
