Mr. Philip D. W. Hodgen, Partner Hodgen Law PC
Phil specializes in international tax and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, his Juris Doctor degree from the School of Law at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Masters of Laws (Taxation) degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Phil has served on the Executive Committee of the California Bar’s Tax Section and as chair of its International Tax Committee as well. He is on the organizing committee for the California Society of CPAs’ annual International Tax Conference, as well as its flagship two-day extravaganza, the Tax Update and Planning Conference. He speaks frequently on international tax topics to accountants, lawyers, and bankers.
Mr. Nigel Hobler, Partner KPMG Indonesia
Nigel has recently joined KPMG Indonesia, having previously been with KPMG China in Hong Kong for nine years and five years with KPMG Australia. Nigel has experience in advising on the tax aspects of most major forms of corporate activity. He advises on various cross-border tax issues relating to investments into and out of countries in the Asia Pacific region. Furthermore Nigel also has extensive experience in advising clients across various industries, including oil and gas, high technology, manufacturing and real estate. He has also led regional due diligence reviews and develops appropriate structures for cross-border investment in the context of both asset financing arrangements and M&A transactions. Whilst in Hong Kong, Nigel led the tax structuring and compliance work over three years for the liquidation of the Lehman Brothers entities in Hong Kong and their Asian assets.

Jeroen van Zanten is a legal professional well known by his pragmatic approach to business, with over 20 years of experience dealing with high-net worth clientele globally. Having lived and worked in the Caribbean, Latin America, USA, Europe, and Asia, he has created a reliable track record in the fiduciary industry. Jeroen is responsible for the business development within the Corporate & Trust division of Citco. Currently based in Singapore he is actively working with Private Equity Funds, high net worth individuals, corporate and multinational clients. Creatively blending both educational and business experience into private wealth management developing efficient and streamlined tax and estate planning solutions.
