Monty Python comments on the Voluntary Disclosure Program (again)

Once again, we are reminded of the keen intellect of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and their apparent clairvoyance in anticipating the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program.

Today, we show you John Cleese playing the role of the United States government in its quest to ensure that retired immigrants are sufficiently punished for leaving some money abroad when they came to the United States.  Or a U.S.-resident son is severely punished for having a small bank account in his homeland, used to give money to his parents.  These people are vile criminals — next thing you know, they’ll be attacking you with a banana.
