Then you should have filled in the optional format letter to Criminal Investigations with the details of your case. In short order you would be the happy recipient of a letter from Criminal Investigations saying they have no interest in you.If this sounds right -- you didn't file the optional format letter specified in Q & A #6 from the IRS -- then I think you need to get yourself in front of an experienced person who can tell you what the situation looks like for you and what your next step should be.All the best,Phil.
