For those of you who do not live and breath U.S. immigration law “EB-5″ is a category of visa in which you invest $500,000 or $1,000,000 and in return get a permanent resident visa for the United States.  See Wikipedia’s article about the EB-5 visa.

No, we do not do immigration law. (And we don’t want to.  Lord knows there’s enough to keep up with in the tax world.)  We do the pre-immigration tax planning for people who enter the United States using this method.
